How to Read Measure Your PD

What is PD?Why Does It Matter?

PD( pupillary distance) is the distance between your pupils in millimeter. In general, this number will be provided on your prescription after the eye exam by your optician. If not, you can also get it measured at home.

Note

the average PD is between 54 and 78mm.

How to Measure Your PD to Perfectly Fitted Lense at Home?

All you need

Step 1

Stand about 8 inches away from a mirror (or have a friend do this)

Step 2

Hold a ruler gently against your brow and measure the distance between the centers of your two pupils.

Step 3

Repeat the measurement a couple of times to ensure accuracy.

Quick Tip

Getting the correct PD ensures that your lenses are perfectly centered for the clearest vision. Make sure to measure your PD today – your eyes deserve it!
