What is PD？Why Does It Matter?

PD( pupillary distance) is the distance between your pupils in millimeter. In general, this number will be provided on your prescription after the eye exam by your optician. If not, you can also get it measured at home.

Step 1

Stand about 8 inches away from a mirror (or have a friend do this)

Step 2

Hold a ruler gently against your brow and measure the distance between the centers of your two pupils.

Step 3

Repeat the measurement a couple of times to ensure accuracy.
